  • 1 Close the space on the attacker
  • 2 Stay on your feet, don’t over commit, don’t lunge
  • 3 Stay on your toes, keep body low
  • 4 Do not appoach with hips square, position body to force attacker in predictable direction
  • 5 Jockey with the striker, keeping pressure, being patient, pushing the striker the preferred direction
  • 6 Anticipate the bad touch
  • 7 Identify the attackers weakness
